Juried in! woohooooooooooo

I just learned a short while ago that one of my pieces HAS been ACCEPTED for the juried art show for the National Orange Show! I am THRILLED to even get one in. I sent in two-but hey, considering the amount of entries they get, I was happy with just one getting in. I was feeling a bit low last night as I have been waiting all month to hear , so I sort of came to the conclusion that I was not accepted in. When I got the envelope today, I was sort of afraid to open it. I had to tell myself to not get upset if I wasn't. I opened it thinking I was not juried in, and imagine my surprise to see I had a piece accepted! Any artist in CA can enter this exhibit , so that gives you an idea of how many pieces they get to jury! WoW!!!!! And, what makes this better, is the piece they juried in, has my great grandfather in it. So, its a special piece :)

wooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! I needed this, considering what type of month it has been for me. This has perked me up, bigtime!!

Please feel free to contact me about this - we are a year into our diagnosis now. I would be happy to share info and observations with you. If you contact me through my blog with your email I will send you my phone number if you like and we can talk on the phone.
