Why I have been so quiet..........

I honestly have not done alot of art. Sadly there has been an issue on the homefront that has taken over alot of my time once again. My daughter has had some issues going on and her neurologist ordered an EEG. Sadly the EEG did show seizure activity :( So , now onto the next step: getting her on meds for it. Sigh. This kid has been through so much. A part of me is so glad they found it but I am devastated at the same time. The seizures she is having are the kind you can look at her and not even know she is having them! The technician told me that these kind she may possibly grow out of. The symptoms she has been having have caused me alot of frustration and have taken lots of my energy. I am trying not to get too upset over it-but its hard. Because we deal with so much already-its hard to think that now we have yet another thing to deal with, another medication to keep track of, another test to take. Sigh.

Oh well. We can move forward now-on to the next step. I need my art more than ever now.

I'm sorry you and your family are going through a rough patch. Don't despair, I myself had all those symptoms and after puberty I did outgrow them, only to discover my son having these strange occurrences in his early years, I was devastated, but he too has outgrown them. Keep the faith.

All you can do is all you can do... Of course you are relieved to know, but scared at the same time... she's your child. I'm sure the meds will help her. Good luck.

Hi Kristy,

Am so sorry to hear your Gillian is having to go through all of this right now. :( It's just heartbreaking. But it's good news that they're getting to the bottom of what is going on. Stay strong - take some time to art and recharge. Hang in there.

Peace,
Kersten

There is nothing much harder than watching our children suffer.

Praying all the details get taken care of, medication, amount....
Praying for some rest for all.
Praying you get some art time, I know how that nourishes.

May you and yours have a Blessed Easter!

Oh Kristy - not more. Poor Gilly - hope she's okay. Please try not to worry too much. She'll be fine and will more than likely grow out of it.

Praying you all get some good family time over Easter and lots of rest and recuperation for both of you.

Keep going ... you've been through so much and you'll get through this. It's just a glitch... it will right itself for sure. Sending love and cyber hugs

Hi Kristy, I'm so sorry to read about your recent problems. As you know we have been through the mill with Mark, and I doubt things will ever change. However, he is 24 now and becoming more independant and although he has multiple health problems he maintains a cheery disposition. It is tiring but you will get through this rough patch and come out stronger the other side. Thinking of you on this side of the pond. Luv, Alison,x
