Totally torn-need help deciding......

So I am entering a juried art show tomorrow. I just completed one canvas (the one with the tree) and this other one. I really am torn on which one to take.............help! I really like them both..........but I am looking for the one with more "feeling"

Isnt the second one of your relatives? I thought I remember you posting about that some other time :D I would keep that one if it is. All thou someone might buy it more quickly knowing this, torn between two loves I guess. Hard decision to make there. I love them both :D

Hey Kristy

They are both lovely, but I really like the second one the best.

Hope that helps you out--good luck!!

I like them both, also. However, the color combination as well as the composition work better for me in the first one. It spoke to me, making me sense the dreamy, yearning, pensive feelings of the young woman.

I can easily understand why you are having difficulty choosing!

We aren't much help, are we? :) But, yes, I really like the first one too. Must be because I love the color combo too much to pass up. Might be because the woman/tree fill up so much more of the space.
Either way, good luck!

Which one would I live with day in, day out, and get something from it? The one with the tree. It give so much in calm and joy the other, whilst emotive, gives so many questions. Both competent pieces of art but I could only live with the top one! hope this helps...

Hi Kristy! I too love them both, but there is something about the one with the tree that really draws me in! Let us know which one you decide to take!

They are both lovely... To me the first one is more dramatic. Love the colors and content.

Kristy, I love them both...you did a fabulous job on both. I can understand why you can have a hard time choosing. If it were me I would choose number 1!! Good luck!!!

They're beautiful and I'm late, but I like the second one the best! And good luck! :)

Golly, it's hard to make the call, but the second one speaks to me.

The second one is probably more unique altho I personally love the colors in the first. Good luck!

I really like both pieces. I feel that the second one is more unusual and therefore I would choose it when having to decide between the two.
Good luck at the show!

Awesome! While I'd be proud to be the creator of either one, my gut reaction was greatest when I studied the first one . . . so that's my vote.

Yesterday I worked at a gallery during judging for an upcoming show. It was a good experience to see how my choices stacked up against the judges. A number of us behind the scenes were noting out personal favorites and comparing later. My first pics only came in first with the judges about half of the time. I'd love to answer your question, but now I know I'd only have a 50% chance of picking the right one! LOL and with two, I'd hate to influence you the wrong way. Each judge approaches with his or her own criteria and personal responses. Look how many different opinions you got from asking this group. Go with your gut feeling and be proud of it. If it makes it in, great. If not, try again next time. Your work is lovely, you have to find the right venue for showing it, and this might or might not be the one. Best of luck with your pieces.
