Totally torn-need help deciding......

So I am entering a juried art show tomorrow. I just completed one canvas (the one with the tree) and this other one. I really am torn on which one to take.............help! I really like them both..........but I am looking for the one with more "feeling"

New Stamps from I Brake For Stamps

My mind goes 'round in circles and other stuff.......

I tell ya, I have just been so busy doing other things I have had little time to really do much art. I miss doing art every single day! Just seems there just has not been time to do any each day :(



I really need to get on the ball! Its amazing how life can just take over. I feel like i am so out of practice!

Here I used Portfolio pastels, acrylics, sumi ink, patterned mailing tape, patterned paper, ephemera and stamps from I Brake For Stamps.

Trying to get back into the creative mode

Between illnesses and being busy doing some other things, I have had very little time to create lately. I need to get back in the groove again. I get on such a streak then something happens and I get pretty much NO time! I hate that! But it happens, and there's nothing we can do , right? So its back to baby steps, again! I did a little stamping today, with stamps from IBFS.

Art Journal Page-A Tribute to Devon Christine Miller 1995-2010

Last week, a young girl in our community died of cardiac arrest. She was just 14 years old. It has really affected our community. She had a brief illness and suddenly died. This family is very loved in our community-very involved in sports, school, etc. The parents have grown up here as well. I didn't know the girl personally. I have seen her and I am aquainted with her mom, since her kids went to the same school as mine. I attended her memorial service yesterday, to support the family. It was so touching and beautiful. It made me wish I had known the girl. This memorial was attended by hundreds of people. Our community has worked together so well to take care of this girl's family-it has made me so proud to be a part of such a wonderful , caring community.

In the program for the memorial service included this quote that she said. I loved it, and wanted to pay tribute to her by including it in my art today.

I took some "Cute" images and made them look a little more artsy with a great background image, some old text , ink and basic grey paper. These are some new images (the cat and the house) from a designer out of the Netherlands named I. Peters. I found them irresistable and had to have them :)

Finally after a week I get some creative time! Our entire house has been sick! I am still not 100% but improving each day. My sinuses are killing me! I think alot of it is the weather. Still lots of sinus pressure but I felt up to doing at least something productive today.Had to get out the new Face Collage images from I Brake For Stamps (from the Stampinback line)
