My Week

Not too much happening this week-been doing lots and lots of rubber pressing.

I did do just a wee bit of stamping this week though-its been a while, and felt good.

I was supposed to go work at the art gallery tomorrow but now Gillian is sick so had to call off. I am bummed-I always love to be there, but, not much I can do about this!

Back to work for me now........the rubber machines are calling me!

Bracelet

Its been a long time since I have made any jewelry-got some sea glass and thought I would try to wire wrap some and make a bracelet with it. Not bad for not doing this for years! I used to do something similar to this when I was on bedrest with Gillian-a friend taught me how to do this so I would have something to do :)

Its Friday!! Yippeeeeee!!

Not much to blog about lately-I have been working my tail off over here! I just completed a new stamp plate-worked on it REALLY hard yesterday! So far its getting good response from my announcement lists :) Its called "For the Birds"-yep, you guessed it! Birds! I will be posting a sample with one of the images sometime today or maybe tomorrow I hope :)

Not much time for art all week-I am missing it! I did finish a small piece. Most people know I am completely a music fanatic! Art and music are about my 2 favorite things. I love 80's music and one of my favorite's is Terry Hall-he was in a band called "The Specials" and lately I have been listening to alot of his Solo Stuff, and was inspired to do something with him-don't ask me why LOL Its a pop artish sort of small acrylic painting. The image of him is transferred to the canvas :)

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope everyone has a really wonderful day!

Not a whole lot going on here! I am cooking a turkey dinner, thats about it.

Hopefully maybe I can get some art time in today..........I have been working on a small piece, but really have not had much art time at all this week-I am having withdrawls! I have been working my tail off pressing so many rubber sheets that between that and my family, I haven't done much else!

Gillian's Autism

I am trying to be my happy, positive self at the moment, just as I have been the past week or so........... but I just got a call from the Neurologist office about my Gillian, and they scored her Childhood Autism Rating SCale and she falls under "Severly Autistic."
ugh. Thats really all I can say.................
Like I said, trying to be very positive here. They said its very possible that she can be SEVERELY autistic and be high functioning as well. That is a relief.
Upon looking at her you'd never guess she was.............I am thankful for that. And, this opens more doors for her, I think.

Ugh. I think I should go get me a HUGE coldstone..........

Abstract 1

Just felt like doing an Abstract today. I got my larger set of Caran D'Ache crayons yesterday and I used them exclusively with this (other than the gesso and the papers collaged on!).

I LOVE these bright colors.
