Thanks to a friend, today I have had a couple hours of quality ME time. I can't tell you just how nice it has been to have some quiet time, by myself, to take some deep breaths and work in my art journal. WOW! What a difference it has made. Lately I have been sort of moping around not feeling too happy. Its very hard with the kids home from school and my little Gillian requires nearly constant attention. I sometimes feel so guilty for feeling such a need to have time for myself. But at the end of some quality quiet time I feel re-energized. I feel like I can take care of everyone better and the mood in the house is much happier :)

I bought some of Tim Holtz's Fragment Charms a few weeks back and finally I am getting around to having a play with them. I knew I wanted to do something today and those were sitting there so I decided thats what I would do, just for something different.
They came out way cool-I love these!

I just purchased a new digital camera tonight-I have been SO dissatisfied with my other camera for a while. I just got a Nikon Coolpix L100. Its not the best of the best, but it got some good reviews from what I read and it has some features of an SLR. Here's a couple I took tonight just messing around! It has a bunch of different features I gotta learn about! Looking forward to it!
I set up a couple of easels on my front porch today-I bought some canvas boards and cheap-o paints for my daughter to play with. Had to get a picture of it-soooooo cute watching her paint. She is wearing an apron my mom made for her for this purpose. She painted along side me as I primed a big ole piece of plywood!

So I had a little fun today with these Clown images from Artistic Outpost!
I colored this one in with markers using the Van Gogh Technique from the current Technique Junkies newsletter. Normally I don't color images in, but lately it has been so therapeutic to get markers out and color ! This technique is fun too.

This past week I have just been totally swamped........kids getting out of school, and a 3 day migraine, 3 trips to the chiropractor among other things! I have done a little bit of stamping but thats about all. I will include them here!
Will be back soon! I am hoping , despite the kids being home, to be able to get some stuff done! Fingers crossed!
I bought some canvas boards and cheap paints for my daughter to paint-mostly so she can keep busy doing something so I can too!!LOL She's very artistic and this will be something new to her. I think she will love it :)

So I have to toot my horn just a little. I have licensed out a few of my art journal pages to use for framed art for a major retailer. They are going to be making them into shadow boxes-sort of a 3d effect. I am excited about this opportunity. I am SO humbled too. I truly feel blessed. I can't wait to see the finished product :)
